Meet Chris.
Founder & CEO of Kam Creative
Hey! My name is Chris Kam. I’m a California-based filmmaker.
I have 8+ years of experience in the film industry and have worked with clients ranging from local nonprofits to major YouTubers like Kara & Nate and Sam & Colby.
I’ve filmed across the country—from the swamps of Georgia to the mesas of Arizona to the streets of Brooklyn, New York.
I’ve been making movies since I was 10, editing together clips from my outdoor adventures. Since then, filmmaking has been central to my life—whether documenting family trips, crafting short films, or developing larger documentary projects. In 2019, I received the “Best Young Filmmaker” award at the Los Angeles Film Awards, and in 2023 I was named to Filmmaker Connect’s 30 Under 30. My cinematography has also been part of a Student Academy Award–winning, Oscar-qualifying documentary, further fueling my passion for cinematic storytelling.
My most recent work includes Hole in the Mountain, a feature documentary rooted in the Eastern Sierra.
When I’m not running Kam Creative, you’ll find me on the trail or hanging with my cats.
